Christopher A. Brown

ChrisBrownA lifelong resident of Atlantic County, Chris Brown is a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and attended Rutgers University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduation, Chris was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, the beginning of a career of service that would span two decades. Chris was also a life guard for the Atlantic City Beach Patrol for 10 years.

Chris married his high school sweetheart Christine in 1993. They are blessed with three children- Matthew, Daniel, and Mallory.

Chris is currently a small business owner who operates his own law firm with five employees. A graduate of the Widener School of Law, Chris has served as a prosecutor and an assistant solicitor in Egg Harbor Township and a solicitor for the Atlantic City Council and the Atlantic City Board of Education. Chris has previously served as the Judge for the Municipal Court of Galloway Township.

Chris served honorably in the Persian Gulf War as a part of Operation Desert Storm. For his service he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge. A highly decorated combat veteran, Chris also received the following commendations: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Saudi Arabian Liberation of Kuwait Medal, Kuwaiti Liberation of Kuwait Medal, New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal and the New Jersey Desert Storm Medal. Also, as Commander of the 154th S&S Battalion, he was recognized as the outstanding Company grade officer (Army) in the State of New Jersey by the New Jersey National Guard Association and was awarded the Major General James F. Cantwell Award for the year 1994-95.

In addition to his service to our country, Chris has also been involved in service to his local community. Mr. Brown is the founder and President of the Chief Arthur R. Brown, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Foundation, which has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to local students since 1992. He was a member of the Atlantic City Chapter of the NAACP where he served as Chairman of the Legal Redress Committee. Additionally, Mr. Brown serves in the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, VFW Post 3361, Clark-Edison American Legion Post 352 and the Atlantic City Jaycees.
