SHERIFF ELECTED TO STATE ASSOCIATION

Lt. Governor (and former Sheriff) Kim Guadagno administered the oath of office to the new officers of the New Jersey Sheriffs? Association on Tuesday, February 2, 2011. Atlantic County Sheriff Frank X. Balles was sworn in as 1st Vice President and his UnderSheriff Ted Kammer was sworn in as Secretary.

?It was an honor to be sworn in by the Lt. Governor?, Balles said. ?We are thrilled to have Atlantic County represented on the board and hopefully next year we can bring the reorganization event to Atlantic City.?

It is the mission of the Sheriffs? Association of New Jersey to promote, protect, preserve, and enhance the Office of Sheriff in New Jersey in a collective and cooperative manor so that each Sheriff may effectively fulfill his or her responsibilities to the citizens as Sheriff, the chief law enforcement officer in his or her county.
