Atlantic County Sheriff and Mrs. Balles to be Honored at 1st Annual Touch-A-Truck Event

The Family Service Association will be presenting Atlantic County Sheriff Frank X. Balles and Mrs. Cyndi Balles the 2012 Henry West Leeds Family of the Year Award on September 29, 2012 at 1pm during the 1st Annual ?Touch-A-Truck? event.

Sheriff and Mrs. Balles have been strong community supporters, volunteering in numerous organizations, including: Family Service Association, Pleasantville PAL, Cape Atlantic Tigers AAU, Moss Mill HOA, and the NAACP. Sheriff Balles is also active in The Women?s Center of Atlantic County, the Sheriff Association of New Jersey, the Jersey Shore Council of Boy Scouts of America, the New Jersey Alliance for the Homeless, and the Comprehensive Emergency Assistance System (CEAS) Advisory Council. Likewise, Mrs. Balles gives back to the community with her involvement in the county-wide Domestic Violence Response Team.

In addition to the presentation of awards, the 1st Annual ?Touch-A-Truck? event will give children the opportunity to have hands-on learning experiences with trucks and equipment from local public service organizations and businesses. It will be held at the Cardiff Shopping Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey from 10am-4pm.
