Assemblymen John Amodeo and Vince Polistina will participate in a town hall meeting hosted by Weymouth Township Committeeman Ed Benish at the Oaks Club House on 11th Street in Mays Landing from 6 PM to 7 PM on Monday, October 20th.

The assemblymen will discuss their proposal to restore funding for rural state police patrols and additional property tax relief for pinelands communities.

?Property tax relief for all families is a priority of ours,? said Amodeo. ?Rural towns which cannot attract new homes or businesses because a significant portion of their land is owned or regulated by the state are hit hardest when the state cuts state aid or increase s costs.?

?Trenton does not understand our way of life in South Jersey,? said Polistina. ?Small communities like Weymouth, Estell Manor, Port Republic, and Corbin City don?t have the resources to raise revenue and keep property taxes in check like big cities have. Yet, Trenton keeps sending state aid to Union City and Newark, while sending bills to South Jersey.?
