Rich Dase has given a great deal of his life to public service, from assisting people to resolving problems as a member of the staff of U. S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo, to his service on the Galloway Township Council (2005 – 2007), to his current role as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at the Galloway Township Middle School.
In 2005, he received the highest vote getter of the eight candidates for Council. He served on the Council’s education, budget and community service committees and was a member of the Planning Board.
Rich was elected District 4 Freeholder in November 2007 and re-elected in 2010. He chairs the Freeholder Grant Overview Committee, which he and Freeholder Joe McDevitt created to ensure that grant money received by the County is efficiently and effectively spent without costing taxpayers additional and unnecessary money. Rich also chairs the County Code Review Committee, and is a member of the following committees: Election Procedures, Greentree Golf Course, Human Services, Media and Communications, Pinelands Review Committee, Renewable Energy Task Force, and Roads and Bridges.
Rich has been a resident of Galloway Township his entire life and currently lives in the Township’s Pinehurst section. He has one son, Ayden Alexander Dase.
